Check Out The KTM 1390 Super Duke R’s Engine, Design, and Other Details Here

The 1390 Super Duke R, KTM’s flagship model, has been completely rebuilt, from the outside to the mechanics and electronics.

The first thing that grabs your notice is the 990 Duke’s unique headlamp design. Together with the 1390 Super Duke “standard,” KTM has also revealed the 1390 Super Duke R Evo.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-294831″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-750×422.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com after receiving hisfirst call from india sai sudharsan was speechless ktm 1390 sup” width=”1530″ height=”861″ title=”Check Out The KTM 1390 Super Duke R's Engine, Design, and Other Details Here 3″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-750×422.jpg 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-1024×576.jpg 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-768×432.jpg 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-390×220.jpg 390w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup-150×84.jpg 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/theindiaprint.com-after-receiving-hisfirst-call-from-india-sai-sudharsan-was-speechless-ktm-1390-sup.jpg 1280w” sizes=”(max-width: 1530px) 100vw, 1530px” />

The new 1390 Duke R is constructed on a trellis structure, but it is now lighter thanks to increased structural strength and thinner walls. Additionally, the chassis is firmer than the 1290, especially in the corners. This increases cornering performance. The motorcycle’s R Evo and basic variants will be on sale in January 2024.

SUPER DUKE R: KTM 1390: DESIGN

The newly released 990 Duke and the new 1390 Super Duke have a similar look. The motorbike has hollow-in-the-middle DRLs and vertically stacked LED headlamps. The motorbike now sports a bigger 17.5-liter petrol tank with winglets. All things considered, the new 1390 Super Duke seems to be a Duke prepared for the streets.

ENGINE: KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R

As the name implies, the primary attraction is the 1390 Super Duke’s bigger engine. KTM raised the engine displacement to 1350cc by increasing the stroke. This has also resulted in a rise in power, as the new LC8 V-Twin, when connected to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch, delivers 187.4bhp and 145Nm of torque.

Variable valve timing, or “cam shift,” is another feature of the new engine. As a result, the engine can generate more power and torque over its whole rpm range. The cylinder heads include the cam shift mechanism, which opens the valves at two distinct levels. Consequently, the engine satisfies the most recent pollution regulations while producing 10 horsepower more than the previous 1290 Duke.

Other details about the KTM 1390 Super Duke R

Among its many features, the new Duke has semi-active WP suspension on both ends, disc brakes with Brembo monoblock callipers on both ends, a TFT instrument dashboard, 17-inch wheels with Michelin Power GP tires that are very sticky, and a keyless pillion seat retrieval option.

Most of the 1290’s nannies, such lean-sensitive ABS, launch control, traction control, wheelie control, and so on, have been retained by KTM, but with some modifications. For example, the wheelie control has numerous levels instead than simply on or off. The motorbike has MotoGP Ride Height technology, which reduces the preload on the rear shock while braking, in addition to riding modes.
